POWERFUL & ENCOURAGING STORIES OF THE MOVE OF GOD

IN GIRLS ON FIRE MINISTRIES

PRAYER BASICS PRAYER INTENSIVE PROGRAM

FROM THE BACKGROUND TO THE FRONT LINES

In October, while scrolling on TikTok, I came across a video of a beautiful woman speaking passionately about prayer. The page was called Girls On Fire Ministries. What struck me deeply was that, at the same time, I had been praying for God to help me go deeper in my prayer life, to restore me and strengthen me in an area where I honestly felt weary and discouraged. Prayer felt like a place of struggle for me, and I could sense it was an area the enemy had been trying to attack, so seeing that video felt like God reaching for me right when I needed Him most. I’m grateful that I was sensitive enough to recognize it as an answer and not just another scroll.

When I learned this was a three week prayer program, I felt both excited and hopeful, believing God was about to do something. Still, I didn’t fully know what to expect. After receiving the first email, my nerves kicked in when Rebekah asked us to turn our cameras on during the sessions. I tend to overthink, and praying in group settings has always made me anxious and self-conscious.

But through the relearning and unlearning that happened during these sessions, something shifted in me. A new fire was stirred, and I was reminded that God is incredibly intentional and gentle in how He works with us. He didn’t rush me, He realigned me, one step at a time, showing me that He cares just as much about the process as He does the destination.

Every call was truly Holy Spirit-led, and Rebekah emphasized the importance of cultivating an atmosphere and allowing our prayers to be led by the Spirit rather than by our own flesh or fear. It wasn’t always comfortable, but I grew in confidence as I learned how to approach prayer, both corporately and in my private time with God.

That growth prepared me to step into something I used to avoid, leading prayer on a group call. While I wasn’t new to praying in groups, I was used to staying in the background or leading only in very limited ways. I had always run from the idea of leading prayer across different topics in a group setting. Yet for the first time, by God’s grace, I stepped forward and led prayer for the Body of Christ. That moment marked a real shift for me.

I truly believe God is not finished with me yet and that He is continuing to work, stretch, and orchestrate my steps as He prepares me for what’s next. I am deeply thankful for Rebekah and Girls On Fire Ministries, and I pray that God continues to use this ministry to ignite hearts, stir hunger for Him, and awaken revival in everyone who encounters it, all for His glory.

This experience didn’t just teach me how to pray again, it reminded me that God never stopped calling me deeper, even when I felt weak and unsure. Thank You Rebekah for your heart of service and sacrifice, and may God bless you and the ministry.
